Late-breaking is an opportunity for authors to present results of a study in progress that are not available by the abstract submission deadline. The goal is to provide a venue for scientifically important and clinically relevant research that would not be feasible to present at the meeting otherwise. The selection process is highly competitive, and only the highest scoring abstracts will be selected for a platform presentation in the Late-Breaking Scientific Oral Abstract Session (Platform Presentation).
The Spotlight on Late Breaking Clinical Research sessions provide significant exposure and recognition for high-impact clinical research. These studies typically include major randomized trials, registries, or particularly compelling single-center investigations that have the potential to shift current practice and advance the field.
All abstracts submitted by the Late-Breaking deadline will be reviewed for suitability and relevance to the Congress program. Authors will be asked to provide a brief justification in the questioner submission form as to why the abstract should be considered late-breaking.
Important Note: Late-Breaking submissions are not eligible for a poster presentation or publication in the February 2025 issue of ASTCT’s journal, Transplantation and Cellular Therapy. If your abstract is accepted for a Late-Breaking Scientific Oral Abstract presentation, you will be required to submit slides before the conference and to present your work on the platform at the Congress.
Only one platform presentation per presenting author will be accepted. If your abstract is selected for a platform presentation, you must also complete all conflict of interest disclosures and register for the Congress by Tuesday, June 17. The presenting author is responsible for obtaining all conflict-of-interest disclosure statements from co-authors and providing these to ASE before submitting an abstract.
